The vaccines available to Oklahomans are safe and effective. The FDA has rigorous regulatory and scientific evaluations in place that ensure the COVID-19 vaccine’s effectiveness, quality, and safety.
The COVID-19 vaccination will be administered in the following phases:
PHASE 1
(December)
Long term care residents and staff
Health care workers providing direct inpatient COVID care
Public Health Staff working on front line COVID-19 Pandemic Mitigation
Oklahoma State licensed emergency medical technicians
PHASE 2
(January- March)
Adults age 65 and older and adults of any age with comorbidities
First responders (paid and unpaid)
Health care workers providing direct COVID-19 outpatient care and services
Staff and residents in congregate locations and worksites
Public health staff supporting front line efforts
PHASE 3
(Spring 2021)
Teachers, residents, and administrative staff in education
PHASE 4
All residents
